Are People Addicted to Social Networks?

The popularity of social networking sites (SNSs) has increased rapidly. SNSs are a key part daily life for many people around the world. use is already global phenomenon. Drawing on capital theory, this research empirically explored how structural (social network ties), relational (trust in SNSs, trust members identification, and norms), cognitive (shared language shared goals) influence stickiness, which turn affects addiction. This study introduced moderators, privacy concerns perceived security, to relationship between stickiness authors evaluated proposed model by using survey data collected from SNS users. Structural equation modeling was applied test model. can provide deeper understanding users' addiction behavior focusing concerns, security therefore contribute both practice.
